Please make sure that you provide your full name, order number, and issue in every e-mail in order for us to provide a speedy response. Also, please be kind with your words, as derogatory e-mails will not be answered back.

 

Q. What does the size state?

All plugs/tapers are measured through a gauge system. The higher the gauge number, the smaller the wire is. A standard piercing or earring is usually an 18g. A standard ear piercing with a needle at a local shop will be usually a 14g. There is no universal regulation on companies to make a standard size in body jewelry. Jewelry in the United States is measured in gauges/inches, while oversees it is measured in millimeters, so many times jewelry can be .5mm to 1mm different. Most acrylic or steel plugs will be almost exact, while organic versions tend to vary more.

The sizes affirmed on tapers, hooks, stretchers, expanders, crescents indicated on ear-gauges.com are the greatest diameters of the tapers. However, the sizes declared on tunnels and plugs are the sizes if the products are on your ear such as the size of your ear hole. Also, if you happen to buy “double flared” tunnels or plugs, be conscious that the actual size of the products are larger than the size stated. The part of the plug that is flared is usually 1 mm – 1.5 mm bigger.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW WHAT SIZE PLUGS YOU NEED. Please visit your local piercer if you do not know what size you are. We do not offer any types of returns or exchanges due to the nature of piercings and our strict sanitation regulations.

 

Q. I did not obtain an email of confirmation from you. How will I receive one?

Ear-gauges.com will produce an automatic email as a receipt for your order. If you did not receive an automatic receipt, either the e-mail address was wrong or the order did not process. If you need a receipt, or do not know if your order was processed, please e-mail us.

For Paypal customers: In order to execute a receipt, you must return to the website after you complete your payment through Paypal so that the receipt email will be activated. You should also click on the “return to merchant” button on Paypal’s last payment page to receive your receipt. If you forgot to click the button, you do not have to worry for as long as you have received an email receipt from Paypal affirming that you have paid to “Ear-Gauges” then we have received your email. Another email will also be sent telling that your order has been posted. If you do not receive an email from both ear-gauges.com and Paypal, it means that your order was not placed. Repeat the order process again.

 

Q. My order has not arrived. Why is that?

All orders from customers from ear-gauges.com during business days are processed within 2 working days. Orders placed on weekends/holidays will be processed the following business day. You will receive e-mail confirmation when the order has shipped. Wait for the allotted time or you will be emailed stating why the order has not been shipped with a choice to withdraw the order. Domestic purchases are shipped via USPS First Class Mail and most arrive within 3-5 business days, however, it can be up to 14 business days for domestic purchases. At this time, we only offer shipment via USPS, but feel free to e-mail us if you need other shipping.

International orders will be processed and shipped via USPS. However, international orders (including Canada) take a minimum of 7-14 business days to arrive. If you placed an international order, please be patient, as most orders take at least 2 weeks to arrive.

If you feel that it has been past the expected delivery time, you should check if you have given us the correct address and post code which can be found on the email receipt.  If the product has not arrived within the longest time of destination then inform us through an email. Q. What happens if my package gets lost in the mail?

All packages have some type of delivery confirmation or tracking on them. You can locate this number on your e-mail receipt of shipment. Sometimes, however, the status may not be updated but the package will still arrive and vice versa. Occasionally, pacakges can be lost via USPS, but this is very rare. We cannot file a lost package report until it has been 30 days from shipment. Here is the timeline in which we re-ship a lost package.

International Mail- 6 weeks


Q. What if I put the wrong information in? What if my package is being returned to sender?

If you notice that you have input the wrong information, and it has not been shipped, please e-mail us This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it asap to change your information.

If it has already been shipped, it will be out of our hands until it is returned. All returned to sender packages are subject to a re-shipping fee of $2.95, which must be paid before we will re-ship it to the address of your choice. Just follow the link below if you need to buy re-shipping.

If you decide you do not want your returned, un-opened package, we can provide store credit. However, all shipping/handling fees will not be refunded and your order is subject to a 10% re-stocking fee.

 

Q. What is your policy regarding returns/exchanges?

We do not accept any types of returns or exchanges on products already mailed out due to sanitation regulations. Once a product has been shipped out, we must assume it has been worn for the safety of all of our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. Make sure when you purchase, you know what size you need and that you have carefully looked over your order.

If you do have a problem or defect with your plugs, please e-mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it within 3 days of receiving the shipment. Make sure to include your name, order number, and picture of the issue in the e-mail, and we will take care of it right away. You must e-mail us within the 3 day window of delivery, or we are not responsible for defects.

Also, you must receive confirmation with customer service BEFORE sending an order back. Any opened packages that are sent back WILL NOT be refunded and are subject to re-stocking fees and re-shipment fees (if applicable).

 

Q. Are the prices stated applicable for pairs?

Yes, most of our plugs are sold by the pair (except if clearly stated otherwise). If you want a single plug, you may email us. Please state which plug you want, either the left or the right.


Q. Do the prices include Sales Tax / VAT?

Prices DO NOT include sales tax. Sales tax is added only at checkout and only for residents of California.
